About Us

Not your typical “consultants.”

About Us

What makes us different from other consulting firms? We’re seasoned professionals and entrepreneurs—not career “consultants”—with decades of hands-on experience running our own business operations and making our clients successful. Our experience allows us to do what others can’t—look at your business holistically.

We’ve been there on the front lines: writing and executing award-winning business plans and marketing plans, developing standalone and web-based applications to solve complex business needs or to deliver exceptional customer experiences, and raising millions in funding from angel and venture capital investors. We’ve played a key role in generating billions of dollars in revenue.

We’re always growing so we can help others grow, and we’ve acquired a wealth of knowledge over the years that we’re happy to share. Our passion is helping businesses become great successes—helping them transform into something more.

The bottom line: we know what it means to be “in business” and not just write or theorize about it. Let Brass Ring Consulting Group be your guide.

For history buffs...

Brass Ring Consulting Group is a division of Brass Ring Group, LLC, an award-winning Entertainment, Hospitality, Travel & Technology company with divisions for Music & Media (distributed by Universal), Craft Beer & Distilling, Fine Food & Dining, Corporate & Leisure Travel, and a Consulting & Venture Capital division (Brass Ring Consulting Group). With a unique approach and competitive advantage in how it helps build successful companies, Brass Ring Group has generated over $2 billion for its clients and partners.

Brass Ring Group leverages its expertise, broad experience, partnerships and relationships in Entertainment, Hospitality, Travel & Technology to build successful brands, market the products/services, market the locations, and to develop new market opportunities … such as hotels, cruise lines, casinos, concert venues and sports stadiums (through our relationships with venue owners such as AEG).

Nathaniel Devereux (CEO & co-founder of Brass Ring Group) and Chris Martin (COO & co-founder of Brass Ring Group) have led private investment rounds and projects ranging from $1 million to $250 million and have helped facilitate the acquisition of privately held companies by multi-billion dollar publicly traded companies.

Recent clients of Brass Ring Group include Montrose Travel/Corporate Travel Management Ltd. (ASX:CTD), one of the largest global travel management companies, where Brass Ring Group served as the company’s North America Head of Marketing across multiple divisions for Leisure and Corporate Travel, cardholder Loyalty programs, and marketing support for over 2,500 independent contractor travel agents. Successes include growing annual travel sales from $150 million to over $350 million through marketing campaigns that garnered the highest awards in the travel industry such as multiple Magellan Gold awards, playing a key role in the company’s acquisition by a $4 billion global (public) travel company, then driving over $1.5 billion in annual travel sales for the North America branch of that acquiring company. Approximately 70% of that revenue was built on lead generation campaigns Brass Ring Group executed.

Brass Ring Group led a large technology and marketing team to launch travel booking websites as a key component of cardholder loyalty programs for several high-profile financial institutions such as Wells Fargo, PNC Bank, RBC Bank, State Farm, Hilton Honors, hundreds of credit unions, and many other clients collectively serving over 25 million cardholders. Brass Ring Group has relationships with the senior leadership of companies such as Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International, Princess Cruises, Club Med, Starwood Hotels, Sandals & Beaches, and many others.

In the alcoholic beverage sector, Brass Ring Group is bringing back a 100+ year-old Irish Whiskey brand Nicholas Devereux & Sons “Bishop’s Water”, which originated from CEO Nathaniel Devereux’s family in County Wexford, Ireland.  Brass Ring Group is also a partner in Old School Beer Company, which makes beer for private label clients including events (fairs, concerts) and hotels/casinos. They are also partnered with a new brewery opening in Los Angeles near Dodger Stadium, with plans for multiple tasting/tap rooms at top destinations.

In the food & dining sector, Brass Ring Group has consulted restaurant conglomerates and chains such as YUM! Brands, Inc. (KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, The Habit Burger and more) as well as the Wolfgang Puck organization. Over the years they’ve had restaurant partnerships in Los Angeles and throughout California. Nathaniel Devereux’s family has deep roots in the fine food industry, having pioneered fine food shops in department stores such as Macy’s, Burdines and Jordan Marsh.

Brass Ring Group also maintains a longtime partnership with Thump Records/Universal, celebrating 34 years as a world-famous marquee music and lifestyle brand. With the partnership comes extensive experience marketing and selling music, clothing, and lifestyle products to consumers throughout California, the U.S. and across the globe through e-commerce and traditional retail channels.  Given the strong cultural and ethnic diversity of California as a whole, Brass Ring Group is not only able to connect with the local communities and citizens of California but is also able to connect to all of America and the entire world — a huge global population that loves California and the culture and lifestyle and products/services that come from it (wine/beer/spirits, food, entertainment, fashion, sports, technology, travel, etc.)

Brass Ring Group has garnered publicity for its clients and ventures with ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, FOX Broadcasting, MTV, VH-1, Univision, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Billboard Magazine, Jet Magazine, Steve Harvey Show, Village Voice, Downbeat, Music Connection Magazine, L.A. Weekly, New Jersey Star Ledger, Today Show New York, Travel Weekly, Travel Age West, Loyalty Management, Wine Spectator Magazine, hundreds of radio stations across the country, thousands of movie theaters across the country, and more.

Among the ventures they founded is Jaggo Records, for which they raised $3.5 million in private investment capital, and secured distribution through EMI/Capitol and (currently) Universal Music Group to attract a roster of artists including Grammy-award winners. Prior to founding Jaggo Records, Nathaniel and Chris co-founded a successful music production studio with clients such as Universal/Interscope Records, Sony Music Entertainment, and numerous independent record labels and music producers.

After attending the University of Southern California, Nathaniel and Chris began working together in 1994 as co-founders of a television production company, utilizing cutting edge technologies to provide entertainment news programming to clients such as Fox, MTV, VH-1, Univision, CBS, ABC, NBC & affiliates. The Business Plan they wrote to start up that company while still in school not only won the award for Best Business Plan at the USC School of Business, but also raised $1 Million in funding.

Before merging their career paths, Nathaniel had founded a venture capital consulting company and served as VP of Marketing & Sales for an investment brokerage firm, where he raised investment funding for a variety of projects (film and TV productions, clean energy, and for the brokerage firm itself). And Chris founded a computer systems consulting company, working as a computer software developer with clients such as ARCO and XEROX and various small businesses.

In addition to their years as businessmen and entrepreneurs, Nathaniel and Chris are both professional musicians, performers, songwriters, composers, and music producers… both are classically trained. As a singer, Nathaniel has performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and has won numerous awards for his singing and musical talents. And both have performed with musical groups (live and recorded performances) in the United States with plans for new album releases and international touring. Chris and Nathaniel have been making music professionally together ever since meeting one another and are both signed artists to their record label through Universal Music Group.

Early on as a music duo they were offered a record deal from three different major labels, but Nathaniel and Chris turned down every offer so that they could start their own record label. For musicians to turn down every major label deal that’s been offered to them and then raise millions of dollars from private investors to fund their record label and then get major distribution with companies like EMI/Capitol and Universal — from just one demo recording (and a ton of confidence) — well, that should give you an idea of how Nathaniel and Chris operate. They wanted the Brass Ring, so they grabbed it… and the Brass Ring Group name was born.

Today, Brass Ring Consulting Group extends to a team of professionals with decades of hands-on expertise in numerous fields to help its clients succeed. Click HERE for a list of companies the team has worked with.
